G'day Xoanon!
We've finished the latest LOTR cartoon caption contest, having chosen the winning punchline. The cartoon has Fraudo Braggins asking Gonedaft the Wizard why he dresses in grey. Gonedaft's reply is a twist on the famous "do not meddle in the affairs of wizards" line. Check it out at here.

Just to let you know that there is a version of the Hobbit touring the UK and Ireland at the moment. I saw it last night and apart from one or two deviations from the book, the main one being there were only five dwarves rather than thirteen, it was very entertaining. The play was adapted from the book by Glyn Robbins who has also done a number of C S Lewis' Narnia books. More details can be found here.

Relative unkown Stephen Ure will play the Orc. Stephen has been in such films as 'Broken English' with Marton Csokas (Celeborn) and 'Chunuk Bair' with John Noble (Denethor).
Gorbag, Uruk-hai of Minas Morgul was a captain of a company of Morgul Orcs who became involved in a fight with another company of Orcs over possession of Frodo's mithril coat during the War of the Ring. Gorbag was eventualy killed by Shagrat and the Tower Orcs.

What is the Most Important Battle in the History of Middle-earth?
Evil wasted no time rearing its ugly head in the world of Tolkien's creation... Eru's song was incomplete before Melkor's discord became a part of the mix. And in all ages of Middle-earth there has been battle after battle, war after war, in attempt to stem the dark tide or wipe it out completely.
Which of these battles was the most pivotal in Middle-earth's history? The Battle of the Powers? The Battle of Unnumbered Tears? The Battle of the Peak? The War of Wrath? The Battle of the Pelennor Fields? Perhaps the Kinslaying? The Last Alliance of Men and Elves? Or even the Battle of Bywater?
