Nam Le writes: I just watched an interview with US press secretary Ari Fleischer and he says he’s a big Tolkien fan and the only movie he was able to watch was TTT. He says he loved it, Cal Thomas from Fox News Channel asked him if he liked the “Good versus evil” aspect of LOTR. Ari replied that “It’s a great story.”

In Kuwait there seems to be an email campaign to try and get the local cinema chain KNCC to show TTT soon - it hasn't arrived yet and local fans are getting very frustrated. The 'coming soon' note on KNCC's website isn't making them feel any better, as it's been there for months. Meanwhile in Bulgaria Skycycle writes that TTT isn't leading in the box office, but it is due to open in ten more cities.

IMDB is currently conducting a best movie/best people (code for celebrity, I guess) of 2002 poll. I can't find a close date, but on current results, Two Towers is performing outstandingly, the film, crew and cast are leading in no less than seven categories. Andy Serkis On UK's SM:TV

Andy Serkis made a brief appearance on UK breakfast show SM:TV this morning. Serkis answered a few questions from the show's hosts and mentioned he was originally told his role would involve just 3 weeks of voice-over work. He cited his cat's problems with coughing up hairballs as the inspiration behind his Gollum voice. He also acted out a few lines from the 'two sides of Gollum' scene in the studio whilst being compared to the actual footage playing alongside him.

Orlando Bloom was among their picks for sexiest actor and also received the nod for male with the sexiest cheekbones while Cate Blanchett was among their picks for sexiest voice.
