Ian Mune: Definitely in LOTR

Well, thanks to a great bit of investigation work by our good buddy PSO, we can now say the Ian Mune is in fact in the LOTR films. Take a close look at this image from the Massey News. Notice that one item that all of us LOTR fans drooled over for a year? PSO did! [More]

So who does he portray? Thats still up in the air, but most of the signs lead to Farmer Maggot. More as it is available.

From recent images and other speculation this looks to be a pretty good bet. BUT...as with all rumors, we need to confirm it first. So don't set it in stone yet. TORN is TWO Today!

TheOneRing.net turns TWO years old today! It was May the 5th, 1999 when the hard work of Calisuri and Corvar changed the old green site (some of you remember) that belonged to Tehanu and I into what you see today!

Our first day 'live' had all of 22 unique visitors, so you can tell we started with a BANG! The first story we ever posted on TheOneRing.net was 'Sean Connery was here, maybe' in which we reported to you that Sean Connery MAY be connected with LOTR, well two years later and we STILL haven't heard what his role is :)

The hobbit on the left (our left) is Timothy Bartlett, a Wellington (NZ) stage actor best known for playing Bernie Leach on Shortland Street. [More]

"Just to add another snipper regarding Timothy Bartlett, before he was on Shortland Street he was best known for presenting the children's TV show "Play School". This show has something of a cult following in New Zealand, and Kiwis aged 20-30 would no doubt remember Timothy fronting the show. "

Christopher Lee talks 'Rings' at the Verona Film Festival.

Francesco Alo over at the Italian LOTR site Caltanet Cinema got a wonderful interview with Christopher Lee (Saruman) at the Verona Film Festival. Bear with the translation - the questions are good and Lee's answers give you a sense of just how much he loves the Rings. [More]

When asked about accents, check out his answer: "No accents. I speak normally. There are British actors, Australian actors, New Zealand actors, American actors. And actresses of course. We all speak english without accents." I know this isn't going to make sense to a lot of you...... : D
