Boxofficemojo.comJust added a chart that might be of interest, showing 'Lord of the Rings' taking on 'Attack of the Clones,' 'Phantom Menace' and 'Spider-Man.' Now, it's moot that 'Spider-Man' and 'Phantom Menace' have insurmountably higher grosses than 'FOTR.' However, 'Attack of the Clones' is falling at such an alarming rate, that it might not top 'FOTR'. [More]

People wrote in suggesting other options for pre-ordering the FOTR DVD if you don' t like shopping online. You can pre order the video or DVD of FOTR at Woolworths in the UK and in the US, "Blockbuster may take pre-orders eventually, but the Warehouse is taking pre-orders NOW (did it myself yesterday), and you get a $3 off coupon when you do." Also in the US, Warehouse and Hollywood are taking pre-orders. Thanks to Matthew, Kerry and Rachel.

"Last night on the news they had a blurb about the filming of the Ned Kelly movie. We thought we caught a glimpse of Orlando (I can't spot him as a non-elf but my daughter can!!) but nothing was said. . . .will keep watching."
