PJ's famous 'mockumentary' goes DVD - Tehanu @ 20:20 PST
'Forgotten Silver' is Peter Jackson's spoof documentary 'discovers' a forgotten pioneer of filmmaking history. The great cast includes Sam Neill and Peter Jackson himself. First screened in NZ, it fooled most of the nation about a glorious past that never was.

It's out on sale here at Amazon.com just before Christmas 2000.

The News at Mithril - Xoanon @ 11:18 PST
From the folks at Mithril:

Our long awaited new release "The Shire to the Barrow Downs" has finished production and we expect to commence shipping early next week. As we have a large volume of pre-orders taken to date please be patient and allow a few weeks for us to complete all orders.

If you get your figures from your local shop they shoud be appearing sometime within the next month.

Those who would like to keep the same serial number as the previous release and have not placed an order should do so now.

Posters to print out on your own printer are available here

Customers in the US, Australia and the Far East who would like to receive their figures for Christmas should also order now as the last posting date is near. We will put the last posting dates here when we get them from the postoffice.

We are also pleased to announce the release of our Robin Hood chess set moulds by Prince August details can be found here and here.

The History of Middle-earth (affectionately known as HOME), Volume 1, is out in a big fat impressive-looking black hardcover edition. Amazon's UK division has it ready to ship right now. If you get it and read it really quickly, you can get in the competition to write the first review and win some vouchers for free books. I don't know how much detail they want in the review. Maybe you could get away with 'this is the biggest blackest book I've got and it weighs the most.'
