TTT Toy Pics! - Xoanon @ 22:42 PST

Gilian writes: I got some of the Two Towers figures today, and I thought you might be interested in a few pictures. They have even more detail than the ones from FOTR; you can see all the decoration on Legolas' costume, including the leaf brooch and the peacock on his quiver. Legolas is the most articulated of the figures so far I think. I was even able to put him on Asfaloth. It's just too bad that my particular one has two left feet! The feet on the Archer, Faramir, and the Gondor Guy are not only articulated front to back, but side to side, making them much easier to pose. The Elven armor for Helm's Deep is gorgeous, even prettier than the Last Alliance stuff. The Archer is quite possibly my favorite so far, (I want a whole row of them!) but why they couldn't have put Haldir in that pack is beyond me!

Sideshow/Weta Collectibles Info - Calisuri @ 13:00 PST
There have been numerous updates on the Sideshow/Weta Collectibles website. If you missed it this weekend, they announced the Series 1 Two Towers busts and their first Two Towers environment, Orthanc. The new busts feature Saruman, Grima Wormtongue, Legolas and Galadriel. They have also made significant changes to their Series 5 product, choosing to release most of the statues and busts as exclusives in the coming year. We also know they are revising their release schedule and distribution to benefit collectors. Figures and busts will now all be hand-numbered and have extremely limited runs. Most releases will not be larger than 2000 pieces, and only half of that will be sold in the US. Finally, they have just started shipping the Ringwraith on Steed and Medallion No. 7 (The Cave Troll). Sideshow/Weta Collectibles are official sponsors of TheOneRing.net and by supporting them you are significantly supporting TORn. Thanks ahead of time! :) [More]
