Disney COO Pitches Narnia

At the 15th Annual Global Entertainment, Media, and Telecommunications Conference regarding the future of The Walt Disney Co., President and COO Bob Iger talked about the Narnia franchise and showed a short clip with information about the upcoming film. Filming Has Wrapped

From narniaweb.com: The filming of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe has wrapped in New Zealand. We have received word from our sources that the four children are on their way home tomorrow, December 19th, and that director Andrew Adamson was very happy with their performance. The filmmakers will take a break for Christmas and after the first of the year will begin 11 months of post-production.

Cox gets the lion's share in Narnia

UK veteran actor Brian Cox has signed on to join "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe". The actor will provide voicing for the lion god Aslan, who joins forces with the four heroes to defeat an evil witch. "Brian has an amazing resonance to his voice, a certain majesty, which suits Aslan perfectly," said producer Mark Johnson. "I've always found Brian to be so versatile...we first talked to Brian about the role of Aslan maybe nine months ago, and I'm so glad it worked out". [More]
